Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1/2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1/2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
1 tsp Sake
1 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Corn Starch
1 tbsp Canola Oil (or other neutral oil)
1 Scallion
1 inch Ginger, peeled and grated (1 tbsp grated ginger)
Method
Mix all ingredients together in a container except for the Canola Oil, Scallion and Ginger. Use a whisk to combine thoroughly.
Finely chop scallion and grate/grind ginger (if using whole piece)
Add oil, scallion and ginger into a small pan and heat on medium
Cook until scallion shrinks in size and ginger begins to toast (around 5 minutes after it starts sizzling)
Add hot oil mixture to other ingredients
If a more consistent texture is desired, blend ingredients using a stick blender
Use sauce within a month to preserve freshness
Yields 4 oz. of sauce
