Stir Fry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp Oyster Sauce

  • 1/2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil

  • 1 tsp Sake

  • 1 tbsp Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp Corn Starch

  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil (or other neutral oil)

  • 1 Scallion

  • 1 inch Ginger, peeled and grated (1 tbsp grated ginger)

Method

  • Mix all ingredients together in a container except for the Canola Oil, Scallion and Ginger. Use a whisk to combine thoroughly.

  • Finely chop scallion and grate/grind ginger (if using whole piece)

  • Add oil, scallion and ginger into a small pan and heat on medium

  • Cook until scallion shrinks in size and ginger begins to toast (around 5 minutes after it starts sizzling)

  • Add hot oil mixture to other ingredients

  • If a more consistent texture is desired, blend ingredients using a stick blender

  • Use sauce within a month to preserve freshness

  • Yields 4 oz. of sauce
